Documentation For agents

MCP

Your AI assistant can work with your Mailglo organization directly: list your domains, explain what needs attention, read DMARC report data and prepare DNS changes for you to approve. Mailglo runs an MCP server for this. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard way AI assistants call tools.

Connect your assistant

  1. In your assistant's settings, add a custom connector or MCP server with the address https://mailglo.com/mcp. Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants that support remote MCP servers with OAuth sign-in work this way.
  2. The assistant opens Mailglo. Sign in as yourself, with your authenticator code if you turned two-factor authentication on.
  3. Pick the organization the assistant works in, check what it gets, and choose Allow.

The assistant now acts as you in that organization, with your own permissions. A viewer's assistant reads what a viewer reads; an owner's assistant reads what the owner reads. To work in another organization, connect again and pick it.

What the assistant does

  1. Reads your clients and domains, each domain's status and findings, DMARC report summaries for a period, sending sources and their daily history, the DNS records published now, open cases and change plans.
  2. Prepares, edits and checks DNS change plans. A plan never changes a live record.
  3. Gives you the link to each plan in Mailglo.

Lists come in pages; the assistant asks for the next page when it needs more.

You approve changes in Mailglo

Approving and applying a change always happens in Mailglo, signed in as you: open the plan from the link the assistant gives you, review it, then approve and apply it. Billing, members, agents, tokens and organization settings also stay in Mailglo.

Revoke access

Agents lists every connected assistant with who connected it and when it last made a request. Every member also finds their own under Settings, in AI clients. Its Revoke button ends its access at once; its next request is refused. You revoke your own connections, and an owner can revoke anyone's in the organization. Removing a member ends their assistant's access too. Plans an assistant prepared stay as drafts for you to review.

Every request an assistant makes is recorded in the audit trail as you, through that assistant.

How sign-in works

Mailglo uses the standard MCP OAuth sign-in: the assistant registers itself, you sign in and allow it, and it gets an access token that lasts an hour and renews itself. Each request uses your permissions at that moment, so a change to your role applies at once. The assistant never sees your password.

Other ways to connect

  1. For one working session, Open in ChatGPT, Open in Claude or Open in Perplexity under Agents gives an assistant 15 minutes of read-and-draft access with no setup. See Connect your agent.
  2. For scripts and your own agents, create an agent under Agents and call the HTTP API with its token, or use the command line.

Asking about Mailglo without an account

The For agents page can open Claude or ChatGPT with a public question about Mailglo. That shares only the question; your account and its data stay private.
